Join the Tennessee State Museum, together with guest scholars from around the state, on Thursday evenings in June for a four-part online class on the history of women’s political activities in Tennessee and how they fought for the right to vote. Though the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920, women worked for decades for full citizenship. Classes will cover the long history of women’s suffrage in Tennessee, from Native American women on the frontier, to the years following the ratification of the 19th amendment. These free online classes on June 4, 11, 18 and 25 are open to the public, but registration required. Join us on Thursday evenings in June, for one or all of these not-to-be missed classes.
